Here’s How To Bake Kuih Raya On A Gas Stove If You Don’t Have An Oven At Home

Hello Foodies! There is only one week left before Muslims celebrate Aidilfitri. We bet many of the households are busy preparing Kuih Raya in the kitchen. Did you ever wonder what is the solution if there’s no oven or air-fryer to bake Kuih Raya? Well, we found the solution! Use a gas stove as a replacement instead! Yes! Try Out This Easy Way To Bake Kuih Raya!

Believe it or not, we still can bake Kuih Raya cookies even without an oven. You heard us right, you can use the gas stove! Most importantly, the pan you use must not be burnt and scorched. How awesome is that? Follow the step by step method below to get crispy yet soft Kuih Raya cookies!

Step 1: ⁣You can use a pan, wok, or covered pot. Prepare a wire baking rack for support. Ensure there is an airflow on the pan cover as this helps to bake the cookies evenly.

Step 2: There’s no need to put water or sand in the pan. This is because the wire baking rack is enough of a support for the baking tray.

Step 3: Before baking, preheat the pan(with the wire baking rack in it) for 10 minutes, then place the baking tray containing the cookies.

Step 4: Turn to the lowest heat and let the cooking process begin.

Step 5: Oil is not required on the cookie tray as well

Step 6: The baking time will depend on the type of cookies. For example, Arab cookies take 15 minutes while chocolate cookies take 20 to 25 minutes.
