Here’s An Easy ‘Tepung Pelita’ Recipe That’s Perfect To Break Fast This Ramadan

Each Ramadan, the Tepung Pelita is among the most sought-after Kueh. Every year, if you are late to Ramadan bazaar, you will not be able to buy it because this Kueh sells out in the blink of an eye. Easy And Tasty Tepung Pelita Recipe You Can Make At Home!

Tepung Pelita consists of two layers of green at the bottom and a layer of white coconut milk on the top layer. So this means that with such simple ingredients, you don’t have to queue or scramble to get your favorite Tepung Pelita. Just make it yourself at home!

Ingredients (Bottom Layer)

Rice Flour (1 Cup)
Sugar (1 Cup)
Pandan Water (1/2 Cup)
Water (5 Cups)
Green Coloring

Step 1: Combine all ingredients and stir well. Then, continuously stir the ingredients over medium heat.

Step 2: When the mixture starts to thicken, turn to low heat and continue stirring until the dough becomes glossy and bubbly.

Step 3: Pour the mixture into small containers while hot.

Additional info, you can start the process for the top layer once you have finished pouring the bottom layer into the small containers. This will give the bottom layer some time to cool down completely.

Ingredients (Top Layer)

Rice Flour (1 Cup)
Coconut Milk (3 Cups)
Water (3 Cups)
Sugar (1 Tablespoon)
Pandan Leaf                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Salt

Step 4: Mix all ingredients together and then cook on low heat.

Step 5: After finish cooking, pour the mixture right away into each of the containers that contain the bottom layer mixture. Wait until it is completely cool and serve it.
