Rawa Island is located off Mersing, Johor and it boasts pristine beaches and scenic natural views. The name Rawa came about as the locals named it after discovering a whole load of doves flocking around the island. Also, the waters are crystal-clear making it seem like Maldives and honestly once you’re there, you’ll feel like other islands can’t even compete with Rawa Island.

Since it’s a rare gem that’s yet to be discovered by many, there are only 2 resorts here. The more common resort is known as Rawa Island Resort while the second one, Alang’s Rawa.

Here on Rawa Island, you can make your pick when it comes to the activities. You can snorkel amidst the tiny fishes and look out for naturally preserved coral reefs. Or, you can also go on a kayak ride adventure with your loved ones. However, if water sports aren’t your thing, you can hit the road and go on a hiking trip to the hilltop of Rawa Island.
