1. Kota Iskandar

A magical place that reminds you of Aladdin’s palace, Kota Iskandar is a beautiful state parliament hall that is inspired by the British and Malay designs. Located next to Puteri Harbour, this place even has its own guided tours that bring you across the different themed gardens. However, if you’re not a fan of exploring the historical stories behind the building, fret not to uncover this place on your own.

2. Tasik Biru Kangkar Pulai

Visiting Johor is never complete without a trip to the Blue Lake at Kangkar Pulai. Famous amongst many tourists and locals, it takes a short 10 minutes hike to the first viewing spot. Upon stepping on the viewing spot, you’ll be stunned by the deep blue waters. If time permits, do stay till sunset as you can capture the beautiful vibrant oranges and reds thus creating a perfect Instagram post.

3. Forest City

Four man-made islands that spread across an extensive 30km², Forest City is a smart and futuristic city that you need to explore once! From taking a stroll on a white sandy beach to indulging delicious delights, you might even spot Singapore just across the narrow Tebrau Strait. So don’t say we never warn you about how Instagrammable this place is!

4. Glass Temple

The first glass Hindu temple in the world and the only one in Malaysia, this is a beautiful place that leaves you in awe. A step into the temple and you’ll be amazed by the colourful glass pieces that reflect lights from all angles. But the best part is yet to come. Different from a typical Hindu temple, this holy spot also has Gauthama Buddha, Jesus Christ and other Saints sculpture inside too!

5. Nictar Farm

Next up on our list is Nictar Farm. If you’re looking for a spot that’s both fun and beautiful, here’s one for you. Aside from being an Instagrammable spot, the farm features rows of pineapple plantation that just goes beyond what you can see. Strike a simple pose between the two pineapple fields and you’ll thank us later. On top of that, don’t forget to get a taste of fresh pineapples fruit, jams and juices!

6. Pulau Rawa

The next spot on our list is Pulau Rawa. Known as the Maldives island of Johor, it’s easy to spot blue seas and white sands here. But that’s not everything they have. Giant slides, snorkeling, kayaking and jungle trekking, there are plenty of fun activities that many adventurous enthusiasts swear by. The state mosque of Johor, Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque is a breathtaking place that welcomes people from different backgrounds. Dating its roots back to the 1900s, the mosque radiates a vintage vibe that you can’t find elsewhere. Featuring English Victorian architecture designs coupled with some Moorish styles, every corner here is an Instagrammable spot!

8. Old Street Commercial Centre

Strategically located between Jalan, Kluang, Jalan Parit Besar and Taman Sri Jaya, you’ll easily spot the building by its white exterior. A notable landmark in Batu Pahat, Old Street is a three-story building that features rows of restaurants and fairytale-like decorations. The perfect spot to linger after a meal, fret not to go the top level and explore the Sky Park. Decorated with Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage and more Disney characters, don’t forget to snap some pics for your ‘gram.
