Located along the east coast of Johor, Desaru is only an hour’s drive from Johor Bahru. Known for its
idyllic beach resorts, white sands and fishing villages. With the newly-opened Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal and its upcoming ferry service to Singapore, we can anticipate a direct transport option that’ll drop visitors off within a few kilometres of the area’s main resorts.
New Ferry Service Between Singapore And Johor
Also, In collaboration with Batam Fast, Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal is open and ready to connect travellers from Singapore to Desaru! The ferry departs from Singapore’s Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. Additionally, the ferry schedule includes two round trips from Singapore on Thursdays to Sundays, and one round trip on Mondays and Wednesdays based on market demand.
Aside from that, with this new sea route, the capacity of the ferries serving this route will vary from 150 to 338 passengers. If the tourism industry gradually improves, the Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal will also connect travellers from Singapore to Riau Islands of Batam, and Bintan to Desaru as well.
Moreover, Malaysia will reopen its borders to international visitors from April 1, allowing travellers who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to enter the country without quarantine.
