Johor’s Very First Permaisuri Zarith Sofiah Opera House Will Be Opening On 19th January

Plenty of things are going on right here in Johor Bahru such as the official opening of Permaisuri Zarith Sofiah Opera House, the first-ever Opera House in Johor. This time around, we’ve confirmed the opening date so keep reading!

Permaisuri Zarith Sofiah Opera House Confirms Opening Date

Opera House? That must be the very first thought that runs through your head when you see this article popping up on your feed right? However, just keep reading and you’ll discover that this isn’t just an ordinary venue place, in fact, it’s the first-ever Opera House right here in Johor!

Wait, what EXACTLY is an Opera House? Is it the same as the iconic Sydney Opera House? Yes indeed! In fact, Permaisuri Zarith Sofiah Opera House is one of the most dazzling architecture near the straits of Johor. The Opera House is right in front of R&F Mall JB. This is just the beginning of the thriving arts scene in Johor Bahru, and we’re pretty excited about it!

In addition, Johor’s very first international opera house can accommodate up to 500 people at one time. It has a diamond-edged exterior which represents a tag name ‘Jewel Of South’, with a wide floor space of 5000-metre square.

Upon completion, Johor Bahru’s art scene will thrive with the opera house playing host to an endless number of international cultural activities such as dance, art exhibitions, theatre, and music. You can expect world-class musicals and events, and many more others happening over here at the first-ever Opera Theatre in Johor Bahru!
