SkyBox GSCinemas Is The Latest Exclusive Cinematic Concept In Johor

We’ve written about GSCinemas before, they’re the very first cinema to launch Aurum Theatre, an ultra-luxe cinema that promises a unique movie-watching experience. Then, they’ve considered families and little ones by introducing GSCPlayPlus. This goes to show that here at GSC Mid Valley Mall, Southkey, their creativity knows no bounds.

Okay, one serious question before we proceed. When it comes to watching a movie in the cinema, what matters most to you? Is it comfort? Or, is it a sense of privacy whereby you can just focus on the movie and not your busy next-seat neighbour? Well, if these two factors are in your list, then you’ll be glad to know that SkyBox GSC marks those criteria off.

SkyBox is a brand new cinematic experience launched by GSCinemas. The focus of this new concept essentially revolves around the sense of privacy and exclusivity. Which is why there are only 16 seats here, separated into couches of 4. As if that’s not private enough, they’ve taken things up a notch by including a fully enclosed single-pane glass screen between normal seats and SkyBox seats.

The features don’t just end there. In fact, the screen is at eye level with the SkyBox couches so we can all save ourselves from straining our necks. So, leather couches, eye-level screen, enclosed glass panel, are we missing out on something? Ah yes, the sound system. Here at SkyBox, there’s a built-in private audio system so we can hear the dialogue, music, and action even clearer!
