Sunway Big Box, First Retail Hybrid Park in Johor Will Be Soft Opening On 18 December

Hey there foodies! It’s us again! Before we start delving into the main topic, we hope November is treating you guys well so far. Also, just a kind reminder that 2019 is coming to an end sooner than we think! Plenty of things are going on right here in Johor Bahru such as the official opening of Toppen Shopping Centre. Well, previously, we’ve let you guys know that a new concept of a mall will be opening right here in JB. It’s none other than Sunway Big Box! This time around, we’ve confirmed the soft opening date so keep reading!

Sunway Big Box Confirms Soft Opening Date

So, another mall? That must be the very first thought that runs through your head when you see this article popping up on your feed right? However, just keep reading and you’ll discover that this isn’t just an ordinary mall, in fact, it’s the first-ever retail hybrid park right here in Johor!

Wait, what EXACTLY is a retail hybrid park? Essentially, this project, under Sunway, consists of a hybrid of a mall, a hotel, and an office all in an open-air strip mall environment. Simply put, you get to not only shop here, but you can also even work here if you want to! See? This really ain’t your ordinary mall.

In addition, according to HC Chan, Sunway Malls’ and Theme Parks’ CEO, the development started 2 years ago and its intention is to allow visitors to explore both dining and shopping in a large and non-conventional ambiance.

“We understand that Malaysia has too many shopping malls, so we are looking to innovate and refresh our development of malls.”

Now that you know the basis and basics of Sunway Big Box, let’s get into the tenants of this project. There are several mega tenants such as Tealive, Golden Screen Cinemas, Book Xcess, SSF and many more! Oh, before we forget, there will also be a fun Trampoline Wipeout in Sunway Big Box!
