If you've been to Bangkok, Thailand, you might have already seen or tried the Internet-famous rainbow cheese toast. Good thing for you Johorians, SayChiizu is now in Johor Bahru! Sample their famous cheese toasts, along with their signature cheese drinks at Toppen Shopping Centre. SayChiizu Malaysia: As mentioned, SayChiizu originates from the land of Thai milk tea. Today, they already have 6 outlets across Malaysia, this being their first in Johor Bahru. You know when a store dedicates their entire menu to only toasts and drinks, is a sign that they're really good at what they're doing. Apart from their iconic cheese pull moments, SayChiizu also takes pride in their homemade Hokkaido Milk toast. Every toast is made upon order, where generous amount of cheese is sandwiched between two breads. Baked in the oven, and later slathered with butter and grilled on both sides for that extra crisps before serving. Let's dive into their menu, shall we? Our Say: There are 6 different cheese toasts available at SayChiizu, and we've tried all of them so that you don't have to. The Unicorn Fruit Toast aka rainbow cheese toast, is their signature item in the menu. Don't let the colorful cheeses put you off because the brand promises no additive and artificial coloring added. Alert: Super stretchy cheese pull ahead! Look at how colourful is that stretch of cheese, super Instagram-worthy. Flavor wise, there's no distinct difference from their Original Cheese Toast, which features a milky, and creamy flavor from the fresh cheeses they use. The toast itself is crispy on the outside, but fluffy on the inside. Needless to say, toasts are best consumed when it's still hot. The next item is inspired by our Malaysian favourite, Milo. Our top pick, Milo Cheese Toast (because Milo), you do get a hint of chocolate, malty flavor from the toast. It has a sweet aftertaste, yet subtle enough to not cover the creaminess of the cheese. Again, don't forget about the cheese pull. New on the menu is their Salted Egg Cheese Toast. While it sounds intimidating, the flavor surprisingly paired well. Salted egg gave a mild saltiness which cuts off the richness of the cheese, super savoury. One last cheese pull before we move on to the drinks. The Oreo Cheese Toast packs a lot of lavors, with a little crunch to it. Just like an oreo, the cheese resembles the cream filling stacked in between, *coughs* two oreo-flavored toast. Sweet and creamy, this is dedicated for the sweet tooth out there. We're Not Done with SayChiizu: Now onto drinks, which we're quite excited about. Another Malaysian favourite with a twist, their Chiizu Teh Tarik features our local teh tarik, but topped with cheese foam. It's hands down our favorite drink and makes a great combo together with their toast. Chiizu Peach Tea on the other hand, is great for those who wants something lighter. Topped with the same cheese foam, it gave the refreshing peach tea a slight hint of saltiness, while still preserving the fruity aftertaste. Foodies, come and get your hands on one of these cheesy cheese toasts. We highly recommend bringing extra friends along so everyone gets to order a different toast and share. Don't forget to tag your cheese buddies and let them know about SayChiizu. Have a great weekend ahead, stay safe, and buh bye! SayChiizu Malaysia Address: Toppen Shopping Centre.
