Upon stepping foot into the cafe, you’ll be greeted by a nostalgic ambiance that instantly conveys you back in time. The entire cafe still boasts an overall back-in-the-day concept with painted murals and wood furniture.

It’s because the cafe is inspired by the owner’s grandfather who opened a stall in Tangkak back in the day. So, the overall concept of the cafe still revolves around the old-school era.

Now, let’s get into the most anticipated part of this review, the food! Here at Tiong An Cafe, expect to savour Malaysian cuisines breakfast ranging from Nasi Lemak, Lontong all the way to Mee Siam. Besides, don’t let the classic butter and Pandan Kaya Toast slide off from your perfect breakfast menu.

For lunch, their most popular dishes are Nasi Ayam, Thai Style Chicken Rice, Kuey Tiow Cantonese, and their signature Mee Maggi Special. What’s special about the Mee Maggi is the chilli sauce made from a passed-down recipe. This chilli sauce will add fragrant and spiciness to the Spicy Maggi noodles. Moreover, they even prepared a selection of fruit for free, as an after-meal dessert.

You’re in for a treat if you visit this cafe at night because they open various stalls just along the cafe’s alley. From Ikan Bakar, Satay, Lok Lok, to ABC Cendol, you’ll get a wide variety of appetising and tummy-filling options! In addition to that, there’s also an outdoor LCD-screen with some hanging lights which boasts a dining experience full of vibes.

Nothing completes a meal more than a really good cup of beverage. That is why here at Tiong An Cafe, you can pick from a wide range of classic Malaysian drinks such as White Coffee, Butter Coffee, Nestum, and more.
