Here’s How To Make Crunchy And Addictive Honey Butter Cornflakes For Hari Raya Celebration

Hello Foodies! Due to CMCO, we’re still not sure if we can celebrate this festive holiday with family and relatives by visiting their house. We all know that Hari Raya and sweet treats go hand in hand and we’re not about to pass up on the opportunity to go ham on a foodie tradition. We still can celebrate the festivities by baking Kuih Raya at home!

Honey Cornflakes is an amazingly golden and sweet treat that you can find in almost every home we visit during Hari Raya. We’re all familiar with the ordinary recipe for Honey Cornflakes, but we want to share with you the version of Honey Butter Cornflakes that has the perfect combination of honey & butter flavours. (Also crunchier!) Assemble your paper baking cup on the baking sheet and start!

Ingredients

Butter (250g )
Honey (3 Tablespoons)
Egg Yolk (1)
Condensed Milk (3 Tablespoons)
Fine Sugar (1 Cup)
Cornflakes (500g)

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 180C/356F.

Step 2: Whisk sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Then pour the egg yolk, condensed milk, honey, and whisk again until smooth.

Step 3: Prepare the cornflakes in a big bowl and pour the mixture over the cornflakes. Mix well with a spatula.

Step 4: Spoon the mixture into a paper baking cup, sprinkle some rainbow sprinkles, and place them on a baking sheet.

Step 5: Bake for 15 minutes until slightly golden.

Step 6: Once done, take it out of the oven, let it cool and harden before serving. Keep in an airtight container.

Additional info: Do not bake for too long. This will make the cornflakes stick to the cup and you’ll end up eating some paper residue.
