Make Your Own Dodeca Focaccia Bread From Home

This focaccia is actually Italian flatbread but there are plenty of air holes in it. It’s crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Here we’re sharing the Japanese version of Focaccia bread thus anyone who likes french bread will definitely love this bread!

Ingredients

High protein flour (bread flour) 180g
Salt 2g
Instant dry yeast 2g
Water 150g
Olive oil
Rock salt
Rosemary (optional)

Step 1: In a bowl add flour, salt, yeast and mix well, then add the water bit by bit. If you want to use your hands, it’s best to add in warm water.

Step 2: Cover the container with a wrap, knead the dough with a temperature of about 20 ° for about 2 hours.

Step 3: Preheat the oven to 250 °.

Step 4: After the dough has risen, place the baking paper on the tray, reverse the bowl and let the dough fall by itself onto the tray. At this point, the dough is a bit sticky.

Step 5: Pour olive oil on the surface of the dough and spread it evenly. Prick the surface with a fork, sprinkle some rock salt & rosemary.

Step 6: When the oven is hot, bake for 18 minutes. Cool a bit before serving.

Quick additional info, if you use rock salt it tastes better with the bread. If not, regular salt can be good but don’t sprinkle it too much. And with such a simple list of ingredients as well as steps, there’s no excuse not to try this recipe out.

Delicious Freshly Baked Focaccia Bread!

It’s highly recommended to making garlic bread using focaccia as it creates a crispy texture. Just sweep on some butter, garlic, parsley & then grill it again. It’ll be more crunchy but yet remains soft on the inside. Now, it’s your turn to try it and let us know how it goes!
