Netizen Shared Photos Of Deserted KSL City Mall That Resembles A Ghost Town
Hey there! Do you remember the pre-pandemic days? When we would spend our weekend cafe hopping around JB, or a trip to one of Johor’s happening malls, KSL City Mall. However, recent photos shared online on Facebook showed the eerily empty KSL City Mall and for us, they look rather heartbreaking.
Heartbreaking Viral Photos Of A Vacant KSL City Mall
KSL City Mall used to be one of the most happening malls in JB because of its strategic location. You’ll find both locals and Singaporeans here strolling around or just enjoying some delicacies. There are infamous tenants here like Daiso, Tesco, MR.DIY and more.
However, recently, these photos posted on Facebook by Johor 柔佛 depicted 7 photos of a seemingly deserted KSL City Mall. With a majority of outlets pulling down their shutters and not a single shadow in sight, these are the inevitable after-effects of a pandemic.
In these photos, we can see outlets like Popular and Body Glove being closed shut while other joints such as The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf or Starbucks having one to no customers.
Additionally, there is also a photo of KSL City Mall’s pop-up section but it looks untenanted as well. As of the time of writing, the post has garnered 2,700 shares with netizens attributing this scenario to various reasons including high rental fees, the lack of visits from Singaporeans, and more.
Grave Impact Of The Pandemic
Perhaps these photos shown are during off-peak hours but there’s certainly no denying the grave impact of the pandemic.
