Kumpool is one of the choices for users who cannot afford to pay premiums through car e-hailing services and even help users plan their trips more efficiently! The service offered by Causeway Link was just launched in mid-December 2019 and is still under trial. So far, it only operates a van and is only offered in the Tebrau / Taman Daya area of Johor Bahru. Yes, in JB!

Furthermore, it can journey through the non-profitable routes and can be reworked according to the frequency of calls. How does the app works? It is just like using other e-hailing services. The difference is that we have to get on and get off at the designated stop (choose the one closest to you).

How Does It Work?

First thing first, you need to download the LUGO app.  Like other e-Hailing apps, we need to make a call to this service. Select the nearest pickup point and set the drop-off point in the selection. Once a call or booking has been confirmed, the display will indicate the arrival time and details of the vehicle and driver. Then we can plan for a designated stop.

In addition to that, as proof of confirmation, we will be provided with an e-ticket for scanning when boarding the designated vehicle later. Fare prices have also been set. Such a convenient way!

When the vehicle arrives and the door opens, we need to scan the e-ticket (QR Code) to the scanner placed at the entrance. So far the fares are in cash and need to be put into the tube placed in the center. Drivers will drive in the directions they have been guided by the app and will also depend on other users’ calls throughout the journey.

So with that, it could potentially serve as a mini-bus someday and could serve narrow and compact areas. What do you guys think?
