Ribena To Recall 600ml, 1L & 2L Blackcurrant Cordial With Expiry Dates Of 17 Aug To 16 Oct 2021

Voluntary Withdrawal Of The Ribena®️ Blackcurrant Fruit Cordial

As Malaysians, the Ribena Blackcurrant Fruit Cordial is the epitome of our childhood. It’s that one beverage that’s easy to prepare and makes the perfect thirst-quencher. Growing up, we would make a cup of Ribena after coming home from school. All it takes is some amount of cordial, add in some water and ice for a chilly cup of beverage.

Today, Ribena Malaysia has posted on its official Facebook page that they are withdrawing the Ribena®️ Blackcurrant Fruit Cordial with expiry dates from 17 August 2021 to 16 October 2021. In addition, three sizes of the cordials are to be recalled back, they are the 600ml, 1 litre as well as 2 litres.

The reason for withdrawal is that there have been feedbacks that these cordials may “have changed in appearance and taste prior to the expiry dates.” As a result of this, Ribena Malaysia is conducting an investigation to determine the root cause.
