The very first spot on our list of 10 Best Matcha Desserts in JB is this quaint little cafe, Kafuka Cafe & Music Studio. As the name suggests, this spot is a combo of a cafe and a music studio so if you’re looking to hone the inner music skills in you, Kafuka is perfect for you. The Matcha desserts here include Matcha Red Bean Cheese, Matcha Red Bean Pancake, Matcha Burnt Cheesecake as well as Matcha Pandan Chiffon cake. This next cafe has a total of 3 branches across Johor and let us tell you one thing; the mascot is super adorable. Alright onto the Matcha desserts here; the crispy waffles with Uji Matcha ice cream is highly commendable and it’s definitely one that you gotta try before walking out of the door. It’s not often that we can savour crispy thin waffles and moreover, this comes with creamy Matcha ice cream as well as a generous dollop of adzuki paste. Wait, there’s more. There’s also Matcha white chocolate cream for us to dip our crunchy waffles into before devouring it. Cake lover will rejoice knowing there’s Matcha chiffon cake here too!

This Matcha Pie has a charcoal crust that we think, is simply unique. Also, you’ll feel extra cozy at this cafe as the interior setting is one that closely resembles a home. Craving for more Matcha delights? Then order their Matcha Latte and it will guarantee to satiate your cravings.

This cafe specialises in Mille Crepe Cakes and there are up to 20 different flavours for you to try out. The Mille Crepe Cake flavours include Musang King, Mango Marmalade, Chocolate Pudding and in line with the theme of our article; Matcha Adzuki Mille Crepe Cake. We’re all no strangers to lava cakes where we have molten lava oozing out of cakes, giving us this warm and fuzzy feeling. Also, have you heard of lava cookies though? Instead of molten lava from cakes, you’ll get them oozing out of cookies instead. So, prepare for a thick and earthy Matcha lava oozing out of those Matcha Lave cookies! How cool and Instagrammable is that? This unique idea originated from Bangkok and the franchise stores have been following the homeland recipe as closely as possible to maintain authenticity.

Well this means that you can head over to UFB be it for a good meal, or maybe just for a drink. But remember to try out their Matcha Parfait which is aesthetically pleasing due to the combination of Matcha elements in one cup. The Matcha Parfait consists of frozen cheesecake, Matcha ice-cream, red beans, Panna Cotta and Matcha Kit Kat as topping.

9. The Sugar Pantry
The pastry chef at this dessert joint has baking expertise from Le Gordon Bleu Paris and this says only one absolute fact: their pastries are top-notch quality. Placed beautifully in a glass panel, walking into the shop feels like you’re in an art gallery surrounded by masterpieces in the form of edible cakes. Doesn’t this make you feel like trying every item they have to offer? Well, if it still doesn’t sound convincing, you’d better check them out for yourselves.
