Here’s How To Make Lemang At Home Using Only 5 Ingredients And An Air Fryer

Hello Foodies! We believe most of the households nowadays have an air fryer at home. The advantage of an air fryer is that you can cook any food without using oil and makes it healthier to eat. Since Ramadhan month is just around the corner, we know that most of you are already craving for Lemang right? So here we’re sharing a recipe on how to make Lemang using an air fryer.

An Easy Recipe Of Lemang Using An Air Fryer!

We often see people using an air fryer to cook snacks like nuggets, fries, or chicken wings. Some even use it to make cakes. How exciting to know that we can cook Lemang using an air fryer! Best of all, it’s super easy and quick to make!

Ingredients 

Glutinous rice (1 kg)
Coconut milk (200ml)
Salt ( 1 teaspoon)
Some aluminium cans
Banana leaf

Step 1: Wash the glutinous rice and soak it with water for an hour. Then wash and soak with coconut milk and salt for 30 minutes.

Step 2: Line the leftover cans with banana leaf (any cans with the lids removed) Fill the rice into the cans and add a little water until it reaches the same level as the rice. Meanwhile, heat the air fryer at 180०C for 5 minutes.

Step 3: Put the mixture into the air fryer and use a temperature of 180०C for 30 minutes.

Step 4: When it’s ready don’t remove it from the air fryer yet, leave it for 30 minutes. Then, it’s ready to be served.

Also, here’s a quick suggestion, pair the Lemang with some Rendang or Serunding. Also, you can opt to replace your rice intake with Lemang instead.
